Gregg Szpicek is back in Tekweld (asi/90807) strong.
The Top 40 promotional products supplier announced that Szpicek has joined the Hauppauge, NY-based company as vice president of business development. His charge is to help scale growth, an initiative that will include developing strategies that drive sales.
Szpicek, a promotion industry veteran, previously served as Tekweld’s vice president of sales for a period of about four years that ended in 2016.
He would later take on roles such as Chief Revenue Officer at promotion-focused venture capital firm Scalable Brands, Director of Strategic Accounts at Top 40 vendor alphabroder (asi/34063), and Senior Director of Key Accounts at the former Top 40 Prime Line company ( asi/79530), now part of alphabroder.

Since his last job at Tekweld, Szpicek has implemented effective growth initiatives and marketing and business plans for multiple organizations in a variety of roles, executives noted. They believe he will do the same to Tekweld.
“Szpicek is a New York native with a vision for creative solutions and an innate ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients and associates,” the company said. “He is well known and respected within the promotional products industry and will oversee the development of new channels and strategic initiatives for Tekweld.
Based on reported 2021 North American promotional product revenue of $40 million, Tekweld ranked 39e on Counselor’s most recent list of the industry’s top vendors.
