Robeco – Kees Verbaas has been appointed Global Head of Fundamental Equities at Robeco. In this role, he oversees the global equities, emerging markets, China equities and Asia-Pacific equities teams.
Verbaas joins Robeco today and will report to Mark van der Kroft, Chief Investment Officer, Fundamental and Quantitative Equities. He is based in Rotterdam.
Verbaas brings over 30 years of experience in the financial sector. He joins from Altis Investment ManagementNNIP’s Trust Management Group, where he has been CIO since 2017. Previously, he was Head of Fund Management at Blue Sky Group, where he was responsible for the investment performance of over 40 investment pools across all asset classes.
Verbaas joined Robeco in 2011 as a client portfolio manager for its emerging markets equity team. He has also held positions such as Managing Director of Global Emerging Markets at Hermes Fund Managers in London and Head of Global Emerging Markets at ABN Amro Asset Management.
GIC – The global alternative asset manager has appointed Andrea Serra as Head of Europe for ICG Strategic Equity, reporting to Ricardo Lombardi, Global Head of the team.
