It’s Value, a consulting firm specializing in the management of technology companies, has joined Improven. The deal sees 15 consultants move to the Dutch management consultancy.
“Collaborating with It’s Value fits perfectly with our strategy to strengthen and expand our position in advisory services at the intersection of finance, IT and risk,” said Jan Bosman, Managing Partner from Improve.
Since its creation in 2009, It’s Value has specialized in the financial management of the IT division of the organization. The company helps CIOs and senior IT managers better understand and control their IT spend, a cost that has risen dramatically in recent years due to the growing importance of topics such as digitization, cloud and remote working .
“We help organizations connect IT, finance and business to increase the added value of IT,” explained Peter van Loon, managing director of It’s Value.
“Our specialty is technology business management – a best practice IT cost management framework. Using this framework, we help our clients achieve detailed transparency of technology costs. By tying IT spending to business strategy, business investment decisions with a significant IT component can be more fact-based and with more confidence. »
Better understanding can also lead to better use of resources. Take the cloud for example: Better understanding business IT needs and spending can help companies save up to 30% on their cloud migration and management costs. As this often involves large contracts with cloud service providers, It’s Value’s work in this area results in significant cost savings.
“In the 70 projects we have carried out in the Netherlands, England and Belgium, we have helped our customers achieve millions in savings,” said Van Loon.
For Improven, the add-in expands its capabilities for CFO and CIO – and everything in between. “We are strengthening our position in IT and financial management and integrating a European leader in TPM software,” said Bosman.
Indeed, It’s Value is one of APPTIO’s best-known implementing partners in the region. APPTIO provides a software-as-a-service platform for managing technology businesses and ranks according to Gartner’s latest benchmark as a leader in the segment. APPTIO is also the founder of the International Technology Business Management Council.
In addition, the operation – Improven’s second since its independence in 2016 but certainly not the last expected given its ambitious growth roadmap – will provide “interesting learning opportunities” for the now 150 (now 165) company colleagues. “The added functional expertise and the international character and complexity of their projects will enrich the career opportunities of our team,” explained Bosman.
