Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from snowmelt and rainfall. Depending on ice behavior, any release of the ice jam could result in sudden rises of water, leading to a rapid flooding situation. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 823 AM EST, emergency management reports that ice is beginning to break up on creeks flowing into Silver Creek. Observations also are showing ice beginning to move on Silver Creek and Walnut Creek near Silver Creek and Canadaway Creek near Fredonia. Additional ice jams are likely to develop across the warned area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. The additional rainfall will increase flows and cause levels to rise on other creeks and streams. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
